Davin Benton Mills May 13, 1994 – July 12, 2025
Davin was born in Aurora, Colorado, and moved to Conifer in 1999, where he grew up before moving to Littleton. He graduated from Conifer High School in 2012 and went on to work in the automotive and retail industries before finding his calling as a tattoo artist.
In his own words:
“I’m Davin (Day-vin) Mills, born and raised in Colorado, and I’ve been tattooing professionally for over three years. Tattooing has been a huge part of my life, not just as a career but as a family tradition. My stepdad, Fritz, was my mentor, and my older sister is also a tattoo artist, so it’s always been a craft that’s run deep in our family.
Outside of tattooing, I love playing hockey, riding motorcycles, and spending time with my animals. I also enjoy creating art while listening to music—it’s a big part of how I get in the zone. What I love most about tattooing is the chance to connect with people on a deeper level. I really care about making meaningful, memorable pieces for my clients that represent something special to them.”
Davin left this world far too soon, but his kind and generous spirit, his deep creativity, and the love he shared with those around him will continue to ripple outward. He had a remarkable gift for connection—whether through ink, laughter, or the simple joy of being fully present with others.
He is survived by his mother, Sabrina (Greg) Fritts of Conifer, CO; his father, Nevin (Rhonda) Mills, Jr. of Conifer, CO; his sisters, Brandilyn (Miles) Dunning of Oklahoma City, OK, Tabitha Fritts of Janesville, WI, and Nicole Mills of Conifer, CO. He also leaves behind his beloved grandmothers, Mary Ann Piper of Medina, OH, and Joyce Fritts of Mt. Gilead, NC; his aunts, Susanne Cronister of Clarendon Hills, IL, and Pamela Mills of Colorado Springs, CO; his uncles, David Dean Piper of FL, David (Sandra) Mills of Winston-Salem, NC, William (Lee) Fritts of Roswell, GA, and Roger Wagner of Menlo Park, CA; and his cherished niece, Bowie Piper Dunning.
He was preceded in death by his grandfathers David Duane Piper, Nevin “Jack” Mills Sr., Kenneth Fritts, and Robert Wagner, grandmothers Sally Mills, and Marcia Wagner.
