John Bryant Holomon

d. April 18, 2024

John Bryant Holomon, of Idaho Falls, Idaho, passed away peacefully of natural causes on Thursday, April 18th, 2024.  He was 74 years old.

John was born October 11, 1949, in Monticello, Utah to Julian Bryant and Melba Holomon.

John was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hike and fish with his three dogs: Shinner, Ernie, and Patches.  His dogs were a huge part of his life and he loved them dearly.

John was a professional glazier by trade and worked in the auto glass industry.  He also created many beautiful glass pieces, like stained-glass lamps, as a hobby.

John loved to relax with a beer and hot wings.  He was very charming and a delight to talk with.  He had the best laugh and could bring humor and dry wit into every situation.  He loved music, concerts, and could name every song title and artist from the 70’s.  He enjoyed hearing his great nephew, Ben, play the guitar and encouraged him often to become the next Eric Clapton.  He was a great friend and will be missed by those lucky enough to know him.

John is survived by his daughter, Linda Kay Holomon; siblings: Patricia Stumph, David Holomon, and Paul (Mary) Holomon; nieces and nephews: Stephanie (David) Denison, Steven (Maria) Larsen, Valerie (Wilmer) Vivar, Bryant (Kathy) Larsen, Cynthia (Drew Nuchraska) Holomon, Rebecca Larsen, and Chris (Misty) Holomon; great nieces and nephews: Holly Denison, Curtis (Krystal) Denison, Adam Denison, Elizabeth (Nate) Beck, Sarah Hansen, Joseph Larsen, Nathan Denison, Bethany (Keziah) De La Rosa, Madison Holomon, Allison Larsen, Benjamin Vivar, David Larsen, Nova Holomon, Abigail Vivar, Sydney Larsen and Cassius Holomon.  He was predeceased by his parents, J.B. and Melba Holomon; and his dogs: Shinner, Ernie, and Patches.

John will be interred at Evergreen Memorial Park, in Evergreen, Colorado.
