Keith Ward Moore

March 8, 1949 — January 16, 2023

Englewood, Colorado

On Monday, January 16th, 2023, Keith Ward Moore, loving brother, and father of three, passed away at age seventy-three. A quiet observer and calm presence, Keith spent most of his life providing a warm greeting and a sense of safety as security guard in several of Denver’s most notable buildings. People looked to Keith for guidance and protection and found a fast friend, and if they were lucky, an original quip that would draw a laugh for years to come.

Keith sought a simple life, filled with music, art and love. He found a partner and muse when he met the love of his life, Joyce Haralovich. They married in Denver, Colorado and headed west to northern California where they welcomed daughter Audrey Irene to the world. Three years later the twins, Lydia Ann and Nicole Elizabeth completed his family. While Keith and Joyce were separated in life and by death, Keith remained steadfast in his love for the mother of his children. Keith’s greatest joy in life was being with his siblings, daughters, son-in-law’s, nieces, nephews, and grandchildren. The family takes comfort in knowing that in his final days he was surrounded by his girls.

Keith was best known for his quick-witted humor, quiet chuckle, deep appreciation of art and music, and his endearing love of Seinfeld, the show about nothing. Keith is preceded in death by his parents, Robert Harris Moore and Alice Elizabeth Moore and former life partner Joyce Moore.  He is survived by his daughters Audrey Lobb, Lydia Moore (Elmer Dever) and Nicole Bopp (Jesse Bopp), grandchildren Elmer Dever (Marisa Dever), Zahn Dever, Elijah Lobb, Luella Bopp, Rowan Bopp and Quinn Bopp and his siblings Robert Moore (Christine Warner Moore), Melanie Zaremski (Tom Zaremski) and Karen Faulkner (Joseph Faulkner).

A celebration of Keith’s life will be held on Friday, January 27th, 2023, at 1:00PM at the Barn at Evergreen Memorial Park, 26624 North Turkey Creek Road, Evergreen Colorado 80439. In lieu of giving flowers, the family asks that those who are able instead make a donation to Rocky Mountain PBS, The Denver Art Museum or Colorado Preservation, Inc.
