Lana Gae Roche

Lana Gae Roche (Pierce), age 75 of Lakewood, Colorado, left us to be with the Lord on January 14, 2024 after a brave and extensive fight against cancer.

Lana, predeceased by her parents Lois Nell and Robert Prescott Pierce and her sisters Carol (Cherrie) Marsh, and Sallie Lou Myers, was wife of Richard Roche (38 years), mother of Eric Kellogg and Michael Seals, grandmother to Landon Kellogg.  She is further survived by her siblings Peggy Ann, Robert and Lois Lynn, and many nieces and nephews. 

Lana worked as a CNA, Home Health Aide for most of her career.  When not working, she was an avid participant in annual Rendezvous reenactments and was known as “Red Willow Woman” after a naming ceremony.  She was particularly skilled at handcrafts including intricate beadwork found on Native American clothing.  She also enjoyed making different kinds of soap and selling them at a variety of craft fairs in the region. 

In addition to her handcrafts, Lana enjoyed processing and canning foods, spending time at the gun range firing a wide variety of weapons and spending time with her family both locally and at the annual extended family reunion in Wyoming. 

She was an active member of the River of Life Church in Lakewood, CO where she was an essential member of their security team and participated in many Christian retreats.  She was secure in her faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and did not fear death. Lana has many cherished friends through the church as well as lifelong friends across the United States.  She was loved by all and will be fondly remembered.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested a donation be made to the American Cancer Society PO Box 370207 Denver, CO 80237 in memory of Lana Roche.  We must find a cure for this dreaded disease.
