Ray Bob Burden (86), of Evergreen, Colorado passed away peacefully in Evergreen on March 11, 2026.

Ray Bob was born May 1,1939 in Blair, Oklahoma to Thomas George and Vivian Julianne Burden (nee Savage). Beloved Husband of Linda Kay Burden (nee Pryor, Deceased), and loving Father to Kevin Ray (Deceased).

Ray Bob is survived by Brent Lee Burden (Son) and wife Katherine Mae (nee Strachota) of Lake Forest, Illinois, and was a proud Grandfather to five Grandsons: Samuel Garrett, Benjamin Thomas, Thomas George, Michael Henry, and Jonathan Pryor Burden.

He Graduated Blair High School and went on to attend The University of Oklahoma where he played baseball and was awarded a Bachelor of Science Degree. He also earned his Master’s Degree in Education from The University of Northern Colorado. Ray Bob taught Science courses at Evergreen Junior High for 35 years, where he was also a beloved basketball and baseball coach.

Ray Bob was disciplined, faithful and purposeful in life, he never took a day off work, he never let a day go by without a prayer of Thanksgiving, and a smile to all who he met. A spirited outdoorsman who loved Evergreen (where he resided for 61 years), fly-fishing, hunting, golf, skiing, camping, and everything that Colorado offers.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday, April 18th at Bergen Park Church, 31919 Rocky Village Drive, Evergreen, Colorado. Service to be followed by reception with finger food and punch.
